Around here, the best things about September are football & Oktoberfest beers. Each year we start working a month in advance to ensure we get a wide variety of Oktoberfest flavored brews in to offer throughout the month. This can sometimes be difficult, as everyone wants to tap em as soon as they hit store shelves. 

For those of you who are outta the loop, Oktoberfest flavored brews are German inspired, using four malts to produce a deep amber beer. The tastebud tickling combination is known to have been created by Spaten, Munich’s original brewery, in 1872.

This year, we were able to get our hands on 11 Oktoberfest brews from all over, and 1 authentic german brew called Fransziskaner Weissbier, which is a Hefeweizen. 

This month, we’ll be featuring all 12 brews in our Monthly Craft Beer Tasting. This month’s tasting will be held on Thursday, September 17th from 7pm-9pm. The cost to participate is $5.00, which includes a sample of each brew, light snacks & a raffle ticket to win cool beer-themed prizes.
