The act of making a resolution for oneself at the beginning of the New Year has been around forever! Ancient babylonians made promises at the start of each year to their gods that they would return what they had borrowed and settle all debts. Shoot, even the Romans began each year making promises to the greek goddess Janus -- for whom the month January is named after.
Now, the tradition is one in which a person promises to themselves that they will make some sort of self-improvement, or perform some act of kindness in the new year. While many of us find ourselves hoping to improve our physical well being, improve thy inner self, or do more for others...The Hangar, on the other hand, gives new year's resolutions the middle finger.
That's right, we said it, the middle finger.
The truth is, how many of those who make new year's resolutions actually keep them? Not many we suspect. Either they set the bar too high and are unable to achieve their impossible goal, or they forget about them all together after a month's time has passed.
So this year, The Hangar is saying skip the bull. Let's reject our resolutions with a celebration of drinking, eating and well...having a damn good time.
Join us on Saturday, January 9th from 3pm-6pm for our "Resolution Rejection Celebration!" There'll be $1 OFF entrees, happy hour drink prices, and $4 shot specials available. For those who still wanna stick to their resolutions, don't worry, we've got some nice healthy entrees you can enjoy too. Oh, and water. ;)
